Life is a permanent learning process. What I have acquired so far in the organisation of two Olympic Games and a Round the World Tour is at your disposal. What do we organise?

I am a double graduate from the University of Alicante in Law and Business Administration and Management and I have two Master's degrees in European Union Law and a third in Institutional Translation and Interpreting. In addition, I have completed courses on Sustainability in the Sports Sector (UNITAR, COE and CIFAL), on the New Security Challenges of the EU (University of Alicante) or on Creativity and Innovation for Future Businesses (ASE Bucharest). I am bilingual (Spanish and Romanian) and I have a high level of French and English and an intermediate level of Portuguese and Italian. I am passionate about sports and I have practiced several sports (tennis, athletics, basketball, volleyball, swimming, skiing, horse riding, boxing, paddle tennis, rowing, handball ...) however, what I like the most is to organise sport events. I am also a chair and line judge in the Royal Spanish Tennis Federation and I am a licensed pleasure boat skipper. In addition, for my job as a logistics manager I have a forklift qualification.

I am also community manager of the cultural association ARIPI and the multilingual children's storytelling project Cuentacuarentenas.

Thanks to my studies and my passion for sport, I had an incredible first professional experience when I sailed around the world with the Volvo Ocean Race in its 2017-18 edition. During the nine months of the voyage, I worked as “Logistics, admin & finance coordinator” in the “Boatyard” department, which was in charge of repairing the seven boats at each of the stops. After this enriching experience, I entered the world of competitive examinations and studied for four years to become a Civil Administrator of the State, but finally I was seduced to work on the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. On this occasion, I was Deputy Venue Logistics Manager at the International Broadcast Center (IBC). During the ten months that the IBC was operational, the logistics team, consisting of a Venue Logistics Manager, 3 DVLMs, 4 supervisors, 1 administrative person and around 30 operators, was responsible for the set-up of the offices and recording studios of more than 300 TV and radio stations worldwide and Olympic Broadcasting Services as the owner of the images and recordings.

I am now working as Venue Logistics Manager del Main Media Center (IBC + MPC) at the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Milano Cortina.

Sports and Translation

Sport has the ability to cross borders, to break down prejudices and stereotypes, to defend justice and fairness in competition and in life, sport dilutes barriers and erases inequalities between countries of origin. Physical education puts the human being at the centre of all things, as Leonardo (not DiCaprio, the other one) did, seeking their well-being. Those of us who work in sport care for society and its quality of life.

Alice Milliat

Alice Milliat

ALICE MILLIAT, a sportswoman of the Roaring Twenties and an activist for women's participation in sport, she had to fight in many hostile fields beyond sport: she obtained statements from doctors against the idea that sport prevents women from being mothers; and she collected testimonies from men who claimed that sportswomen were no worse wives. Well, this extraordinary woman was a translator and probably an interpreter. This is our profile: audacious, transversal, indomitable... perhaps given to us by that place (where cultures and their languages swirl) that we translators inhabit.

Bilingual (English/French) and knowledgeable in other languages, when she was widowed at a very young age (35), she began to work as a translator and to campaign for women's participation in sport, from any platform or media, demanding the inclusion of women's athletics events in the 1920 Olympic Games. Faced with the rejection of Coubertin and the established order, Alice Milliat organised French championships in various disciplines: football, basketball, cross country, swimming, hockey.
